Does major medical help with Meds?

I'm on two types of meds I had insurance but because of a school issue I had to swich to major medical I know it won't fully cover meds but will it help? I think I signed up with state farm

1. You have to examine the specific coverage of each plan; there is no universal answer.
2. Most of the time, major medical means "high deductible". And usually there aren't any prescription plans with it. So after you pay the first $5,000 of prescriptions, they might cover, subject to copays and deductibles. But you'll have to call the number on the back of your card and ask.
