2. Health insurance is important enough that it is worth considering moving to a state that has better benefits. There are many possible suggestions: Work for the Federal Government or the State government. These employers are usually very generous with benefits. Join a Teamsters union or some other union that has good health benefits. Whole Foods Market has good benefits all over the country. In most states if you go to an ER and say you have a plan to kill yourself, this will get you admitted for a minimal period to a psych unit which can then refer you to outpatient services and get you started on meds. Finally, check with insurance providers in your state and see if you can become part of a group policy.
