  1. my does it cost about 85. dollar
  2. most plans with delta dental cover 2 cleanings a year, every 6 months at no charge as part of your prventative dental maintenance.
  3. Most plans pay for cleanings for 2 times per year
  4. The majority of Delta plans pay for two cleanings per year, only a few of them restrict you to every 6 months TO THE DAY. However, there are variations: some Delta plans pay on what they call an "incentive level"...that means you start out the first year of the plan with 70%, the next year if you go get your cleanings is 80% and so on until you reach 100%. It's to motivate you to keep going in for preventative stuff. Check your plan for a Delta member dentist. There is usually less out-of-pocket for seeing one. The good news is about 90% of dentists in this country are Delta providers. Delta has a lock on the preferred provider thing.
  5. I have Delta Dental and they cover two cleanings a year at 100%
  6. It depends on your particular Delta plan. Individual plans (not through imployer) cover about 50% of the cost which is like $60 out of pocket Group plans (through imployer) usually cover 100%, you pay nothing. You can ask your dentist to check it for you. Give him/her your insurance info and they will call up insurance company and find out for you.
  7. This all depends on your contract. Delta has a book about an inch thick listing all of the different plans in MY STATE ALONE. You can't asnwer this question just based on the fact that you have Delta insurance. Ask you HR person or call Delta yourself. They have an automated info service that will spell out the details of your particular coverage. You might even be able to find this on-line. Many people DO have 100% coverage for cleanings from Delta as well as many other carriers. The good news is that many of these seem to be outside the deducitble, which means if you don't need any fillings, you won't have to even pay a deducitble. The insurance carriers know that this is the most important visit for preventing trouble, which will save them big bucks in the long run, so they put a lot of plans out there with 100% coverage to encourage people to go and get checked out.
  8. Call Delta or ask your benefits person at work. The employer selects the level of the benefits from the insurance company.
