blue cross dental?

my girlfriend has slipped on the ice and majorly chipped her tooth, the dentist says she needs to have a post put in the root of her tooth to support the porcelain crown they are putting on. she is devestated because she has the nicest teeth in the world and takes such good care of them. the problem is that she recently got taken off of her mothers insurance when she moved out and hasnt gotten her own yet. her father has Blue Cross Blue Shield medical insurance which she is covered under and someone mentioned that they help pay for accidents like hers. i looked at their website but i could not find the information i am looking for. if anyone knows about this i would be so appreciative. thanks!

  1. Her father is going to need to speak with someone at the insurance company about her particular situation since it was an accident that involved damage to a tooth. It sounds a little tricky, but I really don't think medical insurance is going to pay for any major dental work even though it is due to an accident. That's why people usually carry dental insurance. The timing on her accident was wrong since she no longer has dental coverage. She might wind up coming out of pocket for the whole procedure, or she can check with some finance companies that specialize in dental work loans. Good luck.
