Dental Insurance Plans Knowledge Base
Why are dental insurance plans so bad? Does anyone know why dental insurance plans are so bad? My husband works for the federal government and has United Concordia dental plan and it is horrible. The dental my job offers is no better and I have a state job. The dental insurance plan we have is not cheap but the plan doesn't cover much and actually it is covering less than what it covered 1 year ago and our premiums went up. I really don't know anyone in the private sector who has a decent dental plan either. Why is dental insurance so horrible? Dental insurance is not a luxury and people with families need dental but can't afford to go even with insurance.
who is the best place to go through for Dental insurance/plans? I am looking for a dental insurance/plan for Roseburg, Oregon. I have never had to find one before. All places I have worked at had their own insurance that I went through. Websites would be a plus. Also...it needs to include Orthodontics. My permanent retainer just fell out. So much for that permanent cement that they put it in with. Which is still stuck to my teeth.
Why are there no good dental insurance plans? I can buy health coverage - but only "dental discount" plans that really don't help that much. I am not looking for plan names, etc... but the reason why it is hard to find good dental coverage. As a side note, What do you think of Brandon Jacobs?
is there dental insurance/plans that pay for everything? it seems like there are a million dental plans but for the services they offer they only pay like 30% of what it costs so it kind of seems stupid to pay them every month when you're going to be stuck with a huge dental bill anyways. Are there insurances that pay like how health insurance is, if I get a bill from the dr from something health ins didn't pay it's usually just for lab work and everything else was paid in full or close to it.
Who offers the best dental insurance plans? I dont want to have to pay out of butt for my insurance. I need it just for myself.I dont really want a high deductible. I am going to need quite a bit of dental work in 2010. Extractions and such. I dont even know where to start. I'm not taking the dental insurance through my employer. I would also like a higher "annual max benefit"
Paid by both Medical and Dental Insurance plans? Hi guys, My boy friend is getting a surgery on his jaw -- his surgeon explained that the nature of his condition is both dental and medical. In his case, how does he get coverage from his medical and dental insurance? Does he choose one or the other depending on each treatment procedure and respective coverage rate, dedutcible? For example, if he gets CT scan on his jaw, who does he file this claim with? Whichever provides more coverage? Anyone that has knowledge in this are, I would appreciate your input/advice/thoughts. Thank you!
Can I use two different dental insurance plans from different jobs on one procedure? So that I don't have to pay any fees. oh because I have one real crappy insurance and one great one and like the good one covers 90% of one procedure and the other one can cover the last 10 %, the other procedure is covered 50% by one and also 50% by the other. Some folks tell me yes. Some folks told me no insurance company's won't pay if another company paid part, I'm thinking why the heck not? I'm paying both you!
Are there dental Insurance plans that can be activated in less than 30 days? I've run into a situation where I need ti buy insurance asap and get in. I'm not so keen on the discount plans but that seems to be all I can do. I'd like to ask a dentist a few questions. I'm new to my state and do not yet have a dentist here. I've chipped a tooth and it has negotiated a crown. It's sensitive but not super painful. please help point me in a good direction.

Know of any good dental insurance plans? I'd like one for me that I could afford that offers good benefits. I need to get cavities removed so I can put braces on to help straighten my teeth. I got some cavities out last year but I missed out on signing up for this year coming up. So now I'm trying to find one. I really don't want to wait a whole year to get my teeth fixed. If you know any, please help me. Thanks :)
Any temporary dental plans/insurance that cover braces? Should I get a second dental insurance plan? I am a college student, and currently covered under my parents' dental plan. I need to get all of my wisdom teeth extracted, and I found out that I possibly also need 3 root canals. My insurance only covers $1500 per year. I don't want to put off this work, but I don't think I can afford this. Would getting my own individual dental insurance plan help? What plans are good, and what is a decent price/yr for an individual plan?
Dental plans? insurance? I am unable to recieve dental insurance from my job. I need some work done asap. I googled dental insurance/plans and got some hits. First question-are these companies legit? also. Does anyone else have independant dental insurance that they didnt get through their job? and is it good? Thanks!!
Dental Insurance? Was wondering if there is any dental insurance plans that would cover (or help) taking care of my dental veneers if anything should ever happen to them
Are there any good dental insurance plans out for Veterans that charge less and give good coverage? I am a Vet who served in Iraq and I don't make much money now. I need to get some good dental coverage. I have found some dental plans out there, but they are not any good. You pay $100 a month and they only pay 30 to 50% of your bill for any Dental visit. That is BS! They should pay more than that! Anyway, the VA will only provide Dental benefits to people who are 100% Disabled or those who have military related dental problems. I don't qualify. I need an insurance plan that is cheap and affordable and one that will pay more than just a little bit for a Dental visit. My employer will not provide it either.
Any recommendations for affordable individual/family dental insurance? I already looked on google and found a few affordable dental plans for myself...Is there anyone who is currently enrolled? How are the prices? Any recommendations on where i should enroll, or insurance plans i should stay away from? I was interested in Aetna dental plan. Is there anyone whose enrolled with them?
Can I have more than one dental insurance plan? I currently pay right around $2/wk for dental insurance through my employer. It's an "okay" plan that covers the basics, but if you need heavy dental work done, it'll still wind up being very expensive. What I want to know is if I have one plan that covers 25% of a service, can I have two plans that cover a total of 50% of the service, or even four plans and be 100% covered? I need to have four molars "replaced" either via implant or bridge.
Two Dental Insurance Plans UK? I am currently under a 12 month contract for my own personal Dental Insurance plan to help me with NHS dental costs. However, I have also just started a new job and get NHS Dental Cover as one of the benefits. I have a crown procedure coming up and neither of the policies will cover the cost completely (as I want a white crown as opposed to a gold coloured one) and I'm just wondering about the legality of claiming for the procedure on both policies?
what is the best dental insurance plan? i'm looking to buy a dental plan and i have no idea about different tips of plans like DHMO, PPO and ... please help me with your experiences and comments.

Any dental discount plans or insurance that covers orthodontics for adults? I am 22 and am planning on getting braces for my bilateral crossbite in January or February. In the meantime, I'm wanting to see if there are any dental discount plans or insurance that covers orthodontics for adults. I have dental insurance through Delta Dental, but they only cover braces for children to 19. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Is there any dental insurance plans for college students or any other options? I live in NY I've had bad teeth my whole life and have only been to the dentist a few times due to lack of insurance and I'm sick of my smile and everything else wrong with my teeth, I don't have much money and I was wondering if there is any insurance plans that a college student could get to help cover the costs, there's no dental schools or anything like that around me so that isn't an option
Can I still get on a medical and dental insurance plan? I need to sign up with a good medical and dental insurance since my job does not offer any benefits. I was wondering if i can just sign onto a medical and dental insurance on an independent basis. If so, please recommend a good medical and a good dental carrier. I live in Arizona if that makes a difference. Thx in advance. PS> I wonder if there is a plan that offers both medical and dental all in one out there some where.

Can you buy a dental insurance plan on its own? I am presently on a COBRA plan with my health insurance, which is still ongoing, but my COBRA dental insurance runs out at the end of this month. The company (Blue Cross Blue Shiled) told me that they don't offer dental in itself. I'm presently a student and don't have options through a company. Is it possible to get dental insurance on its own from a provider? I imagine that this is the case, but I was hoping that people could lead me in the right direction!
A good individual dental insurance plan? I don't have dental insurance, and my employer doesn't offer any. I seriously need to see a dentist, I haven't been to one since I last had insurance 4 years ago. But I can't afford much right now either. I need a plan that will cover preventive treatment, doesn't have much of a waiting period, and will cover at least some of any major work, because i think I might need some. By the way, I live in central PA.
I am looking for a good dental insurance plan? I am in my 50's and have dental insurance but it doesn't cover some of the major things. I am looking for a supplemental insurance program that might help with the major expenses I might incur in the future. Does anyone out there have any suggestions of any companies I should look at?
When should I add my new baby to my dental insurance plan? I add her to my health insurance within 30 days of her birth. (She's due September 2nd). The next "open enrollment" (when I can add her to dental) will be January 2009. Should I add her then, since that will cover the year she turns one, or wait till the following January? I guess my main question is: I don't need to add her to dental when she's born, like I do for health, right?
Dentists, Dental work, and Dental Insurance plans? For the past 6 or 7 years, Ive largely ignored my dental problems. Ive had bad teeth all my life from taking a medication for seizures. I don't have then anymore, and I'm nolonger on the medication but my bad teeth persist. I rely haven't been able to afford to get my teeth fixed until now, and even now with my son being 6 months old, and all the new expenses I don't have much more than I did before. My dental problems however have gotten to the point where I can no longer afford to put them off any longer. I have two molars with about 1/4 of each tooth missing, and every other tooth in my mouth has some kind of discoloration or hole in it. I'm use to the constant tooth aches by now, so much that I hardly even notice them any more. Indeed I cant even remember what its like for my teeth NOT to hurt. I haven't had any kind of dental insurance, or seen a dentist in years, so some information might be good. Anyone have a plan they can recommend? Any good websites with info? Thanks!

I am seeking an insurance plan or discount program that handles restorative work and implants unless someone knows of something new for teeth that have been knocked out or broken off . Looking at the entire upper mouth front and 2 molar on one side. Money is an issue but so it this persons emotional welfare. What type of program is best for this extensive work? Does anyone know about costa rica dentists? I hear they are cheaper and they can do the work at just a few sittings>>>
