How good is Delta Dental Insurance and is it worth it? My mom is out of work and needs to have some dental work done. I was thinking to get her a Delta Dental Insurance in the hopes that it will help her. If you currently have this insurance or had it in the past, could you please tell me if it's worth it. Thanks.
Delta Dental Insurance or Discount plans? I haven't been to a dentist since 9th grade and I know for a fact that I need work done. I really want to take care of things earlier then later and was wondering what would be a good Insurance company to go with. Some companies I've been researching are Aflac and delta Dental Insurance and was wondering if anyone has ever had either one? I just checked out Delta and was wondering if the co payments had to be paid in full on the same day that the procedure is done?

Will my delta dental insurance cover cosmetics for invisalign? My regular dentist said that insurance doesn't cover cosmetics. Is it possible for dental insurance to cover filling a chipped tooth? Okay, so I called my insurance (delta dental), and I asked them if they covered filling a chipped tooth, and they said yes. Then, when I went to go see the dentist he told me it's cosmetic and that my insurance won't cover it. I told him my insurance already told me that they did, and he responded by telling me that no insurance covers anything cosmetic. Is this true, and did my insurance just lie to me or make a mistake?

Solutions for inadequate dental insurance coverage? I have the standard Delta Dental insurance that is common for many employees, and am finding that I will still have to pay a lot out of pocket for work that is needed, especially since I may need a potential root canal and crown in a cavity the dentist identified. Does anyone have information regarding additional help for dental financing/insurance? My plan maxes out at $1,200 per person per year. It seems like I must simply pay for the rest of the costs myself, but wondered if anyone is aware of any other solutions?

Problems with Delta USA (dental insurance)? I am on my second year using this company. I got a root canal done on an abscessed tooth last year, about six months after I had enrolled, and had a crown put on it, and they refused to pay the dentist for it because it was a "pre-existing condition" when I signed up (for reference, the tooth had a cavity, but was not abscessed, when I enrolled). The dentist was very generous, and did not ask for me to pay the difference, but was not able to treat me anymore. I switched to another dentist, and it is about six months into my second year with Delta (continuously enrolled), and about three weeks ago, I had a root canal done on another tooth, which had some decay at the point when my first dentist looked at it a year ago, but was not even a cavity yet. I had a wisdom tooth extracted yesterday by a dental surgeon at the same office on Friday, and when I got home, there was a letter waiting for me from Delta, saying that they would not be paying my present dentist for the root canal, since there was evidence of decay reported by my previous dentist, and that these records had been passed on to my present dentist before they did the root canal procedure. Is this even legal? There was no way the tooth for which I received the most recent root canal was in any state of "pre-existing condition" when I initially signed up with Delta. Moreover, I waited to have the crown put on until I got the wisdom tooth extracted, and now I'm worried that the dentist will either refuse to finish the crown, or will do it, but that neither he nor the surgeon will get reimbursed for any of their work by Delta. Should I worry about Delta calling my wisdom tooth a "pre-existing condition" as well?
good dentist and good dental insurance in SF? I am new in SF and my crown fell off/broken while I was eating two days ago. I have a need of finding a very good new dentist and a new dental insurance. I used to have Delta Dental. Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks!

Does any know a good supplemental dental insurance? I already have Delta Dental. However I am getting to the age where I need more expensive dental work performed like a root canal or a dental implant tooth replacement. A dental implant alone can cost me more than $5,000 out of pocket. Does anyone know of a good reputable company that will sell me additional dental coverage for these types of procedures?
Dental v.s Medical Insurance for Wisdom Teeth Extraction? I have an appt. to get two more wisdom teeth surgically removed. I had one removed at the end of last year. Since I was out of dental insurance (Delta) money, medical insurance (medica) covered 80%, and paid the surgeon considerably less than what the initial bill was which made my 20% less which was nice. I have not used any dental insurance money this year, so I am concerned that the surgeon will bill Delta first and I will get stuck with bigger bill since it seems like dental insurance isn't as tough as medical ins. is on restricting what a surgeon can bill a patient. Anyone have experience on this? Should I delay extraction to the end of the year given their is not immediate problem so that I have some dental money left for cleanings and other issues?
What is a good dental insurance provider in Tennessee.? I don't think that my state is eligible for delta dental unless i go thru a business. i need my wisdom teeth out b/c i think i have an infection in one of them. my lymph nodes are swollen behind my teeth and in my throat. also, how much does it usually cost to get your wisdom teeth taken out?

I was absolutely dissatisfied with the place. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look for insurance? Thanks!
Help me choose which dental insurance product~? I am in NY and trying to purchase a Delta Dental Insurance. But there are so many to choose from! I am getting the insurance for me, my husband, and our toddler. Me and our kid have no problems now, but my husband need at least 2 root canals, 2 crowns, removal of 1 or 2 wisdom teeth. Out of the following products, whcih would be the best for us? Please vote~~~~ 1. Delta Dental Premier 2. Delta Dental PPO 3. Delta Dental PPO plus Premier 4. DeltaCare USA
Delta Dental PPO Preferred? My husband's new dental insurance plan is Delta Dental PPO (preferred) we are in NJ and i was wondering if anyone is familiar with this type of insurance plan? I used to have Horizon so I am just wondering if anyone that has Delta Dental can help me ou with some experienced information! Thanks!
Are braces typically covered by insurance? I've heard they're not. We have Delta Dental insurance. I'm waiting for a reply from them. But is anyone familiar with this?
Can I use two different dental insurances? I have Blue Cross Blue Shield and it covers dental as well as health, then I also have Delta Dental which is dental insurance only. Can I double up on insurance to save me some money?
What Dental Insurance Is Better? My husband and I need to decide between Guardian and Delta Dental for a personal, family plan. All the insurance jargon is confusing. Anyone know which was is better? My husband is self employed... If there are other good plans besides delta or guardian, please share them with me! Also - my husband needs to have a lot of work done... implants, fillings, gum surgeries, etc.
Can I get dental insurance to cover part of a nightguard? I grind my teeth pretty bad at night, and since I'm going to be getting two crowns put on teeth I had root canals on, my dentist strongly reccomends I get a nightguard so I don't do further damage to my teeth or to the crowns once they're put in. However, when I got back a coverage quote from my dental insurance (Delta) they won't pay anything for a nightguard ($469!!), because according to them it's not a covered benefit of my program. What I want to know is if there is any way I can get my insurance to cover at least a portion of my nightguard, as I need these crowns because my teeth are chipping due to the root canals, but there's a good chance I'll damage the crowns without a nightguard to keep me from grinding down on them... or is 'not a covered benefit' an absolute thing, no matter what? Also, would it help if I had my dentist call and talk to them?
what's the grace period on delta dental ins. in getting multiple dental work done? can i get a lot of work done at once with my dental insurance?
Please !!What should be the right behavior of my secondary dental insurance(Premera blue cross)? I have two dental insurances: Primary is Delta insurance which will cover 80% of total. Secondary isPrem eraa Blue Cross which will cover 85% of total. While their allowable amount for each service is different.\ Say I have two services done and the doctor charge 600 of each.Total charges billed by my dentist=1200 For Delta(Primary): the allowed amount is 500 each, then it will pay 500*80%+500*80%= 800. The remaining is 1000-800=200. For Premera: the allowed amount is 550 for the first service and 450 for the second service. It will pay 550-400=140? 480-400=80? Total paid to my dentist =220 > the remaining amount asked by my first insurance??? Is that the correct way? If this is correct, what if my secondary insurace's allowable amount is only 400 each. Then it won't pay my dentist any more. Who will responsible for the remaining 200??? Will the dentist bill me? Please help me !! I think it's ridiculous for Premera, because they use their allowable amount (which could be higher or lower than Delta) as a total. So it end up overpay the doctor or pay less. It won't pay exact the remaining amount unless its allowed amount is same as the primary one. i have some detailed examples Thank you for your explanation here. I think the reason I choose to have two insurance is to minimize my out of pocket money. In your calculating methods, the patient has to pay the difference between the maxium allowable amount (which could be the primary allowable amount or the secondary allowable amount, whichever is higher)and what was covered. Say my dentist charge 800 for my service. If I have only primary insurance which allowable amount is 500 and will cover 80% of it. Then I need to pay the rest 20% of 500 which is 100. But if I have secondary insurance with 700 allowable amount for that service(200 higher than the above one). Assuming it also cover 80% of service, then it will pay my dentist of 700*80%-400=160. As your calculating methods, the doctor will bill me the rest amount 700-400-160=140, which is even higher then what i need to pay if I only have one insurance!! I pay for my secondary insurance, how come I end up paying more....?
vision and dental insurance? Can anyone tell me where I can look for vision and dental insurance in Illinois? Please do not tell me Delta Dental, as I currently have Delta Dental and they do not cover anything except a cleaning and this is through my employer. Someone help.
My job doesn't provide Dental Insurance but I need it, help please.? I need to go to the dentist but am probably going to have to pay out of my own pocket. Is there a way I can pay for my own insuance and not have to empty my bank account. Can I sign up with Delta Dental or something like that and pay monthly??
Dental school clinic vs. dental insurance? I am going to need quite a bit of work done since I am terrified of the dentist and haven't been in about 8 years. I know I will need many fillings and at least one crown...and probably more stuff. I am probably going to go to the UCSF dental school clinic were they say they charge about half of what a private dentist's office will charge. They also way that they accept most dental insurance. I was thinking about getting Delta Dental or something like that before, but is it worth it to get dental insurance if the dental school prices are already discounted? And what is the difference between a dental discount plan and dental insurance? Has anyone had work done at the UCSF dental school clinic? Will they sedate you if you ask? (I'm scared!) Sorry for so many questions. I've never had to do this before...I'm so confused!
Dental Insurance for Wisdom Teeth Extraction? I need to find a dental insurance plan that covers a good amount of the cost for wisdom teeth extraction. Does anyone know if Delta Dental is good enough, or maybe Dental Blue?? I need a plan that does not have a waiting period to become effective.
Any suggestions on cool part-time jobs for college students who want braces? No dental jobs.? I know weird request. I have a class 3 malaclusion, which means my bit is very terrible. My goal is to have straight teeth before I graduate in 3 years. Any suggestions, some of the dentists say that the cost due to a need of oral surgery can be around $15,000, however with Met life Dental, or possibly DELTA dental insurance I can have the cost significantly reduced. These insurances do not sell to individuals, only companies, and I have not found a company yet that either has them, or allows them for part time workers. Any suggestions on how to fix my grill? Thanks for taking the time.
Individual dental insurance? I'm 22 years old and I'm looking for dental insurance. I've called a few places that I could find that offer dental insurance and either I do not qualify because of my age or dental insurance isn't available for my state. I'm in the State of NY. I called AARP--- they only deal with senior citizens. I called Delta Dental and they don't serve NY. I called MVPHealthCare.com, I forgot their reason but I think it was the same as Excellus reason (they don't offer it individually, I must go through an employer). I can't go through an employer cause I'm self-employed. I turned to EHealthCare.com but I have a feeling they are a scam. They claim to be a broker for several comapnies. When I run a quick quote on their site, it comes up with "Bay Dental" as the insurer, but they HAVE NO INFORMATION about bay dental to give me. I wanted to research the insurer first but I couldn't cause they didn't give me any info about them. ehealthinsurance.com gave me dentemax.com and claim they are something to do with bay dental, then they told me bay dental is underwritten by a comapny called "Standard Security Life" and i can't find any company by that name. The only one I found was Standard Security Life of NY but they are a completely different company. There is a company called bay dental but it's in california and they are a dentist office. So, i'm completely lost. I'm eligible for bay dental pan thruogh ehealthinsurance.com but i'm scared to sign up because i don't know if bay dental plan is a true company or if ehealthinsurance.com is a complete scam. The weird thing is this. Ehealthinsurance.com said that I must pay them in full with a credit card for their bay dental plan or they can deduct it each month but i have to give them a bank account. They won't charge my credit card monthly for the plan. Instead they want my bank account # to charge it monthly. They will only use my credit card if i want to pay it in full. DO YOU KNOW anyone who offers dental insurance for the state of NY? I"m not looking for a dental plan where I'm limited to the company's dentist office. I have my own dentist I go to and i want some type of insurance to go to my dentist of choice.
Dental Insurance? I'm enrolled in school for January 08 but I turn 20 on dec 7......I'm still on my parents insurance and I have about 9 more teeth to fill...............will I still be on their insurance after I turn 20 or will they company take my off. They both have delta dental.
Dental insurance: Yearly maximum and lifetime maximum question I decided to get braces earlier in the year. The orthodontist said that I must have periodontal work before the braces were put on. I had the periodontal work done and I paid half, while the other half was paid by my dental insurance. I was notified last month that my "yearly maximum" of dental insurance coverage had been reached. I also am allowed a "once lifetime" orthodontic benefit of $1500 by my insurance. I am wondering if I will have to wait until January 1st to receive my orthodontic benefit, or will I be allowed to use that benefit even though I have used the max on periodontal work already? I'm just curious if anyone knows this answer (my insurance company is not open at the moment, and I am just wondering). Cannot find this info on their website. It's delta dental. Thanks.. It's only mu husband and myself, we are both in our 20's, on the dental insurance.. I'm lucky that I have the ortho. benefit, because it will really cut down the monthly payments. Thanks for the answer, I was really confused.
Blue Cross or Delta Dental. Does anyone have suggestions for a good dental insurance in Sacramento, Ca? looking for a no to low copay and offers a high Annual maximum amount that they will cover.
Individual dental insurance for braces (re-post)? Sorry, Yahoo Answers won't let me extend this question anymore so I am going to repost this question and wait for more answers. What is a good "individual" dental insurance if I were to get braces? I have done some research and nailed it down to DeltaCare and Pacificare. So which dental insurance is better, or any other suggestions? Pacificare cost slightly less than DeltaCare as far as co-payments go. Both are HMO plans, all the PPO plans covers little to nothing for braces, so HMO seems to be the only way to go for an individual plan. DeltaCare seems to be more reliable since it's associated with Delta Dental, a little more costly also. I'm more concerned about the "quality" of the services as far as making claims and such. So DeltaCare, Pacificare, or ay other dental insurance/plans? Any personal experience with either of these companies? I am in San Francisco, California.

Insurance for dental work I've had consultations for? I am a full time student and my father is retired military. He is looking into enrolling in the delta dental plan through his retiree program which is a very good program considering his crappy one that he has from his job. Anyway, I was in the process of getting consultations for my wisdomt teeth extractions. I recently went to a dental school to get my xrays looked at to get the procedure done. I was wondering, if he enrolls in this program, am I able to go back to the same oral surgeon with a new dental insurance, or would I have to go to another surgeon so that it is not looked at as a "pre exisiting condition" so that they will take the insurance?
Is there a really good dental insurance out there that covers implants and bridges? My current insurance only covers $1500 a year of dental procedures... I think. It's Delta Dental and provided through my employer. I pay about $2 a week for it. As of right now, I am going to need either implants or bridges to replace four teeth, all molars. I do NOT want any embarrassing dentures or obvious dental work that everyone will be able to pinpoint. My dentist is regarded as one of the best in the area from what I hear, and offers all the state of the art procedures. Unfortunately, from what I've been reading, it seems that to replace four teeth, I might be looking at a dental bill in the neighborhood of $10,000. I could afford that, if it's in a payment plan over a few years... even at 4 years, that's like $200 a month... very expensive.
How does Delta Dental handle multiple policies within a family? I have had Delta Dental coverage for a number of years for my family. My daughter just went through a treatment of braces that went over the "lifetime limit" of $1000 per person. Unfortunately she still requires additional treatment and we're looking at about $3000 more. My wife is about to reenter the workforce and her employer also offers Delta Dental. What I would like to know is if Delta Dental will look at my daughter as a new account if we pick up coverage through my wife's employer? I wouldn't want to purchase Delta Dental twice if the coverage doesn't reset. I realize that most insurance companies won't allow multiple claims against the same incident (i.e. double payments) but if I drop my Delta Dental and go with my wifes, does Delta Dental lifetime limits reset? Thanks "the last don" - Experience or reference?
I have Delta Dental. How Much will it cost to do a deep cleaning and take out my 2 top wisdom teeth? It is a good insurance plan. I have a $3000 max per year plan, and I usually pay 20% of most procedures. Deep cleaning isn't covered 100%, is it? I should mention that my dentist is doing this at his office later on today, and I believe all I will be getting is the shot in my gums to numb me.
Does dental insurance cover dental bridges? I have two insurances: Wayne County Health Choice from my work, and Delta Dental from my dad's work. I also have AmeriPlan, which is a medical discount program. I was wondering if any of these two insurances cover dental bridges. Also, since I have two insurances, would my bill be fully covered?
Does insurance covered for lost retainer? Does Med life or Delta Dental insurance cover lost retainers?
Whats a good insurance for orthodontist because i have delta denta but ? delta dental will only cover 70% but a maximum of $2000 in orthodontic is this good? is there any other or what should i do. i am in the TEAMSTER BENEFIT TRUST MY SON NEED TO GET BRACES.

Has anyone ever worked for delta dental? Its a dental insurance company in California. I just wanted to know if anyone has worked there and if they liked it. They hire alot of dental assistants and registered ones as well for things such as approving insurance claims. Did you get benefits? good pay?
What is the cost to remove 2 top fully erupted wisdom teeth and a bottom impacted one? I am getting 3 wisdom teeth removed and I have Delta Dental insurance which covers 80% however a 100.00 deductible needs to be met first. What do you think the cost out of pocket will be for me when its done? Should I call my dentist and get an estimate? Thank you!
Can you have two dental insurances and a dental plan? My dentist told me today that I would be a good candidate for invisalign express treatment (this is not the first time this has been suggested to me by a dentist). However, delta dental insurance does not cover orthodontic treatment. My dentist quoted me a price of $3500.00 for the treatment. So I was thinking about purchasing another dental insurancethat covers orthodontic treatments and a dental plan to knock off the rest of the cost. I looked online to find a dental plan that discounts orthodontic procedures and I found this one: http://www.dentalplans.com/dentalplans/orthocarehome.asp?zipcode=46311. Now I just need to find a dental insurance that covers adult orthodontic treatments.
What is the best and cheapest way to close my gap? Ever since my permanent teeth grew in when I was younger, I have been really self-conscious of my gap..Now that im older I really want to close it, but I don't know what procedure would best fit me- Invisalign? Lumeers? other options that are not terribly expensive? (I dont want to spend over $2000) btw I have Delta dental insurance if it helps.. Thanks♄
Has anyone ever went to a Dental School? Has anyone ever went to a school of dentistry to have thier teeth looked at? I hear they are a lot cheaper then regular dentist. My wisdom teeth are coming in and one is coming in next to a broken tooth. So I'm wondering if they wondering if they would be cheaper with my insurance I have Delta Dental PPO and they are not listed as one of the prefered dentist. I'm not worried about paying to get the bad tooth removed it only cost me $24 with my insurance. What I'm looking for is a cheaper place to get my Wisdom Teeth pulled that's even if they need to pull them.
How much do tooth extractions cost? I have Delta Dental insurance. I am getting my top 2 back molars pulled. How much do you think it will cost out of pocket?
Can anyone recommend a good dentist in the Indianapolis area? Looking for a new dentist in the Indianapolis area...preferably on the south, southeast or east side. Two criteria for starters...that he/she works with Delta Dental Insurance and the office does whitening trays. It's okay if you don't know if they work with Delta Dental or not. I can look that up. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated...and tell me why you like your dentist.
Humana Insurance? I was wondering if this Humana Insurance is good? I need dental insurance but not quite sure which route to take, If anyone can inform me on good dental insurance Aenta, Delta Dental etc please leave a comment, thanks!
I have braces and when i get them off my dentist wants to bleach my teeth..? I have Delta Dental insurance and i have white spots that my dentist wants to bleach my teeth for. So my question is, will my insurance cover it, and what is it?
Do triple AAA members have a dental plan option? Hi all, I live in Mass. and i'm a grad student, so I have no dental insurance or plan. I really need it and there are a lot of plans online that just seem like scams. Delta Dental only provides insurance through employers in Mass so I can't get that. Someone told me Triple AAA members have some kind of plan? Anyone have this or can elaborate? Thanks a bunch I plan and calling and asking once I get more information from others who may use the dental option.
what is the difference between delta premier and delta preferred? Im trying to figure out what is the best dental insurance plan for my family. Anyone know what the difference is between the 2?
Does anyone know how to apply for delta dental online? I was told when I got tricare insurance that I had to go somewhere else to get dental coverage. The woman working said I could apply online and I can't figure out how to do it. I'll probably end up calling and getting an appointment somewhere but I would rather do it now and get it over with. Any help? Please and Thank You.
What is Massachusetts Dental procedure or process when accepting new patients? A couple of months ago, my boyfriend went to the Dentist to get his teeth clean. The Dentist said that he require a deep cleaning and the estimated cost of out of this pocket around $900. He applied for the CareCredit so he can make the payment monthly instead of the full amount. A month ago, he received a bill from CareCredit for the amount little more than $900. But, less than 2 weeks ago we also received a bill for $1340 from the dentist. I called the Dentist last week to really find out the reason why they are also billing him? The Dentist call me back today and stated that the cost of the novacaine are not covered by the insurance and the estimated cost that they provide is not the exact cost for the services. When I continue to questions that wouldn't it be ethical for the clinic to information the patient if the cost of what they estimated for an out of the pocket is now mutliplied by more than 100%, he when on stating that the Dental Insurance that my boyfriend have is not active. A few things doesn't fit and doesn't make sense to me at all: 1) Wasn't the Dental office suppose to verify the Dental Insurance and what the patient are qualify for before providing the services? 2) They have almost a week to verify this information, so how come when my boyfriend when for his appointment, why didn't they mention or questions my boyfriend regarding his dental insurance company wasn't able to locate my boyfriend information? 3) Why did he first brought up the point that the cost of the novacaine was covered by the insurance, and then move to the point that the dental insurance doesn't have my boyfriend on file and that he is not a member? Something really doesn't seem right to me. What is the procedure for the Dental Clinics to do when admitting new patient? I am planning on calling his Delta Dental tomorrow for him. But, if anyone out there who are able to answer my posted questions and have any advise on what I should look at to help eleminate this extra bill from the Dental office I would greatly appreciate. Thanks in advance, from the lost and confuse...
Dental work? Currently my family has United Concordia dental insurance. My wife was diagnosed with a gum disease this morning. We found out she needs 3 root canals, and 5 cavity fillings. My current dental plan will cover about $600 of the bill. The dentist is estimating about $7000 bill. 1 - Does $7,000 sound right for this amount of work? (5 fillings, 3 root canals, 3 crowns) 2 - Could I get another dental insurance like delta (while keeping my united concordia as well)? Could I use both? 3 - What would happen if we decided we could only afford 1 or 2 root canals now? Would it be stupid to wait until Feb for the new year to kick in on my dental insurance? 4 - How should I go about paying for this? I have only about 1500 or 2,000 of spare money to put to this? Should I dump it on a credit card, take out a loan from wells fargo, take out a student loan..? She is getting the 5 cavities May 8th, and the first root canal May 12th, so I need a sound plan before then.
dental plan/ insurance for orthodontic cares? Hi every one I'm searching for a good dental plan/ insurance that covers orthodontic cares. My orthodontic treatment costs me 7000 dollars. I've heard about Delta PPO and America Discount Plan. I was trying to look at all the benefits of these two, but Delta PPO wouldn't let me unless I'm already in the plan (so I'd have membership ID which is required for signing in for more information). About the Ameriplan, it only stated vaguely in the website that it would cover from 25% to 80% for orthodontic cares. But what I need is a complete and detailed form of the benefits that I can get from purchasing this plan. Apparently, it's not in the website. I'm interested in the plans that don't require me to go to their dentist network. However, it seems like Delta only covers the fee if I go to their dentists. About Ameriplan, they say I have choices, but does it mean that I would receive less benefits and less discounts if I go with the one of my choice Anyone has any idea about these two dental plans? Do you happen to know any other good dental plans/ insurances for orthodontic cares? Thanks a lot. I really appreciate all your helps ^^
I wanted to know the cost of braces? Hi I wanted to buy some braces, and my dad has DELTA DENTAL insurance for dental. I would like to know how much will it cost my family and how do i pay, like is their any finiancial help
Wisdom teeth out. told dentist would take care of insur. bill sent 2med ins not dental claim denied. what 2 do I was told by the oral surgen office that they would decifer who would pay for more coverage dental or medical insurance. Come to find out they went with my medical insurance. They told me that my balance was $410, and insurance would pay the rest. I paid that. Then I get a bill saying that the claim was denied due to not being refered by my primary care physcian, and I owe the remainder of the balance: $2400.00. What are my options. I was refered by my delta dental dentist, do I demand that they chase them down. I am not paying this. My teeth were not hurting, but though that it would be a good preventitive measure.
I need a dentist in Georgia.? Hi, Does anyone know of a good dentist in the Lithonia, GA or Decatur, GA, or Stone Mountain, GA area? Especially one that works with kids? We also have Delta Dental insurance plan. I appreciate any names that you could give me! Thanks
What is the estimated cost for a crown on a peg lateral tooth? I have a very small peg lateral incisor and the incisor on the other side of my front teeth is smaller than it should be (though it looks better than the peg lateral). I think I can afford to get one crown for the peg lateral, but I'm wondering what it would cost. Also, do any dentists do payment plans? I'd have a hard time coming up with $3000 out of pocket. Also, if my peg lateral is causing me pain and grinding down to nothing because of TMJ, how likely is it that my Delta Dental insurance will cover 50%? (my insurance indicates 50% coverage for crowns but I'm not sure if they would cover it if they determined it was for cosmetic purposes). Thanks for any info!

Dental claim Question? My company was bought out in May 2007. My insurance provider before we were bought out was Delta. Under the new care, we have Aetna, and basically thrown into a dental plan as a hew hire.(Technally weren't new hire's though). So, in early November, I had oral surgery done. My Dentist wants over $1100. I was under the impression that my insurance would cover it. WOW. Was I wrong. Apparently I have to be with Aetna for a year, before having major work done. NOBODY Informed me of this. I have the documentation that I was given, and nowhere does it state must wait a year. Can you give me any suggegtions/advice for when I submit my claim letter. I really don't feel like I should have to pay. Thanks in advance ;)
Can a dentist in-network charge above and beyond the contracted rates? I have Delta-dental. My plan covers 2 free exams and x-rays per year, with a $50 yearly deductible and 80% coverage after that. My husband went to the dentist and had a blemish in his enamel which was filled. It was NOT a cavity. We paid the $50 deductible plus $15 for the 20% and now he's trying to bill and additional $34 after the insurance paid their share. I have since quit going to this dentist because of this and other reasons- fillings (after insurance) cost $100. It seems to me he's over-charging. Is he legally able to do this? How about ethically? If not- what's my recourse or do I need to just cut my losses and find a more ethical dentist?
dental insurance? My husband and myself are both looking at getting dentures. We currently have Delta insurnace, but it only covers so much. Is there another insurance we can pick up to help? We currently have Delta. They only pay up to 1000. We are looking at paying much more out of pocket
Insurance Question? My husband works for a company that does not offer benefits. We are covered through my employer. His income is enough for us to live on - I am simply working to give us benefit coverage. However, I am wanting to have a baby....and even be a stay at home mom. My question is: what does someone in our situation do? I mean, can we just BUY our own insurance? What are some good companies? I know I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Delta Dental now....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Dental insurance? My husband and I are both looking at getting full dentures. We currently have Delta which will cover 1000 each. Is there something else out there that can help with the rest?

Self-employed & need dental plan.? Does anyone know how to sign-up for a dental plan? I am a contractor and insurance is not offered to me but I would like to join a program. I like Delta Dental but I did not see a way to sign up on their site. If anyone knows of a good program (not just a discount program) but an actual dental plan, that allows individiuals that would be helpful. Thanks!
Do Insurance Cover Braces? I have Delta Dental. I have Delta Care USA. Just if you know please answer. Thanks if you have any additional info you can also say it
Dentist removed wisdom teeth and a molar? Age: 33 years 6 yrs back a dentist removed my left bottom jaw wisdom teeth and adjacent molar because a cavity in junction destroyed half of wisdom and half of molar. Dentist removed wisdom and cemented a crown on molar. After 4 years crowned molar had to be removed as previous dentist didnt do a good job. Now I dont have wisdom and next molar. There is a space there now. Dentist told me that other teeth on upper jaw will get effected and need some support. Due to money and insurance issues, I did not go for filling that gap. Technically gap starts from back. will I loose my other teeth now. What procedure will help fix that gap probelm. Is that bridging? how much will it cost. I have now Delta dental premier insurance. how much final cost (approximately) will incur on my pocket. I started feeling bad and depressive. thanks

Whats the best dental plan for me / self employed/ central florida? I need insurance very quickly. I just paid 300 for a wisdom tooth to be removed, and I also need a few root canals. I want my mouth to look good, and feel good, and am ready to put in the time and effort to change things for me. Im in alot of pain. I have been going to Lake Nona Dental Group in Orlando, FL. They just told me they are contracted with Delta Dental, and United Concordia, but they can also accept others. What does contracted with these companies mean? I used to have bcbs there ppo plan, but it didnt work for pretty much anything. I want something thats going to cover root canals, and also making my teeth look new. Your help would be greatly appreciated . Rodd
Broken Tooth Help? My husband broke one of his back molars today while eating and he is out of state (we live in Texas) and is not expected home for 2 weeks. We have Delta Dental of Arkansas insurance and he is in pain. What can he do? Any advice would be appreciated. Yes, he told me that about half of his tooth broke off.
Proper billing of credit cards? I went to see the Dentist on a emergency about 9 months ago. I ask the dentist if they except the insurance I had which was Delta Dental and they said they sure did. I ask them if they were premier or advantage They told me the cheaper one which ever one that would be. To make a long story short they told me the insurance reimburstment takes a little time but I would have to go ahead and pay my copays and that is it! So after all is said and done and 800 dollars in hole I finally have my teeth fixed. So when the days is over the called me about 3 months ago and told me I still owe 180 dollars I was like what you guys told me I had payed everything I had owe! So I was like what ever I don't have the money to pay you now, I will give you the credit card and I can pay your in about 2 weeks! Well I guess my card didn't go through they called but I said I couldn't pay them now, sorry So without calling me they billed my credit card for 180 2 months after I gave them the info is the legal?
