How strict is Humana health insurance with pre-existing conditions? I've had acne since my teens but it's really been bothering me lately psychologically and hurting alot when trying to sleep on my back from cysts. Also sometimes minor acne on my face has been causing permanent scars. I want to go to the dermatologist and see if I can get accutane, but I just got my health insurance beginning of the year and had no creditable coverage before that. According to their written policy, I might not be eligible since I actually went to the doctor and got antibiotics for acne less than 24 months before enrollment in the health plan. I would like to say that the condition manifested itself in the past month psychologically which caused me to seek out accutane, which is true. Should I even mention my past diagnosis can they check it somehow? I really don't want to pay $3000 out of pocket for accutane, but I feel I really need to do this now for my own well being. What should I say to the doctor, how much will they investigate preexisting condition
Humana health insurance? I'm thinking about applying for humana health insurance.I want to get a outpatient surgery for my back and want to know if they pay for most of it.if you have humana please let me know if you have to pay a lot out of pocket for surgeries or doctor visits.
Is Humana one a good health insurance? What health insurance is cheap and has good coverage? Human is in my price range. The quote I got says I would pay about 90 a month for me and my husband.
Is humana a good health insurance? i was charged a 120 dollars for lab services and they didnt cover it in addition to a copay and monthly deductible. i feel like im spending more with this insurance than saving. any suggestions?
Humana Health/Dental Insurance? If you work for the Johnson Equiptment Co., and you get Humana heath and dental insurance for you and your family, what are the benifits of this? Would you be able to get braces for your daughter?
Assurant health insurance or Humana One? Which do you think is better? I'm looking into high deductible insurance..And can't decide between the 2..And what about dental? How is basic dental compared to discpunt dental if I know I am going to need some work done (i.e. cavities and wisdom teeth are all grown in-i want them out)...Any input would be appreciated.
How do agents get paid on health insurance? I currently sell life insurance and am thinking about selling health insurance possibly with Humana or another company. Do agents get paid a percentage of the first year's premium? I am also thinking of selling Aflac. How do Aflac agents get paid?
Health insurance? The company im currently working for offers Humana health insurance. Are they any good? and they also cover 90%..Is that a pretty big amount?..
can you guys help me to choose right health insurance? Hi i live in minnesota . we are 3 people me my husband and my 11 mts old son.we rarely go to the clinic just for the general check up.Our current insurance is humana and its way too high $538 a month for all 3 of us.Which will be the best and low cost health insurance please advise me if you know?
Looking for health insurance at a reasonable price? You would think that since my husband is a police officer, I'd have great health benefits. Nope. He has full coverage which only costs him $1 a pay period. The city he works for picks up the tab for the rest. However, if he were to put me on his insurance it would cost $460 a month. He already pays $540 a month for child support. So we can't exactly afford the extra $460 right now. I have checked with Humana and it was pretty reasonable. Just wondering if anyone knows any other possibilities?
WHEN i first sign up for health insurance will they pay for my shots? i want to sign up for humana one health insurance the basic plan, i need shots by februaury..... do you have this insurance? i live in orlando fl, for school i need shots but i need a whole list and alot are or almost 100 dollars i cants start school to i pay but my schools not helping me they wont tell me where to go or a cheap place theyre very unhelpful, i dont know about insurance but i need it to be able to cover shots
Can you be on Ohio Medicaid and Humana at the same time? Hi! I'm 7.5 months pregnant, and my husband just got a new job. The health insurance doesn't kick in until March 1--and I have a throbbing toothache that's been keeping me up at night. I work 40 hours and can't affor to not sleep! Can I apply for Medicaid (which I am eligible for), and still be on his Humana insurance?
Why have health insurance providers seen a drop in stock prices? Humana is down 2.14% Health Net is down 1.92% United Health is down 1.86% In fact 8 of the 11 major health insurance providers have seen losses. http://www.google.com/finance?q=NYSE:AET&hl=en&sa=X&oi=suggest_finance&ct=title&aq=7&oq=aetna%20stock&aqi=g7b1
How do deductibles in health insurance work? I have considered purchasing private insurance. My school insurance doesn't cover the stuff I need it to. I was looking at humana's plans. I came across one that was $87 a month but it had a $2500 deductible. If I were to get injured and have a hospital bill of like $4000, would it pay anything if I hadn't met that deductible yet? Thanks.
Question about a health insurance application I'm applying for? I'm filling out an application right now and is didn't ask me at all if I've been declined recently for health insurance..why is that? A few months ago I applied for health insurance with Humana and got declined because of a dizziness I had a year ago and went to the doctor for. Basically called an undiagnosed condition. On this application it doesn't ask anything about dizziness or if I've ever been declined for health insurance which is what I was worrying about, because I figured I would be declined again. Well I did have an agent and he helped me fill out my previous application that I got denied for. When I told him I got denied he told me to write an appeal letter. I did, and it didn't work. So I asked where do I go from here and he really hasn't called me or emaild me back so I got tired of him. So I'am currently looking for another one. I was trying to do it on my own. But according to everyone I need an agent. But if the agent on here would like to give me some valuable information that would be great!
Why do health insurance companies have 3 moth waiting periods for pap smears? I had a Leep procedure done in sept 2006 and I had 2 pap smears in November 2006 and February 2007 they were normal but I was due for another pap in august 2007 but didn't go because I didn't have health insurance anymore. I just health insurance with Humana without any riders but a 3 month waiting period for wellness visits. I'm afraid that if I go the free clinic for a pap smear and they find something wrong and I wait the 3 months and then go to a gyno get whatever operation that needs to be done that my insurance will say it is a preexisting condition and not cover the operation I may need to have
Why do Insurance companies make you take Medicare? I have tried unsuccessfully to get a quote for individual health insurance from Aetna, Humana and Cigna. I want a quote for my aunt who is 66 and needs health insurance. They will only give me quotes for supplemental to Medicare. Why does she HAVE to take Medicare? Why won't they let her pay for insurance?
How long to reapply for health insurance after getting denied? About a year ago in August i applied with Humana for individual health insurance because I'm only working part time. I got denied because around that time I had gone to the doctor because of dizziness I was feeling for a few days. At the doctor's office they really didn't know what it was and did a few blood test which all came back negative. Well eventually it went away and never came back. So basically the reason I got denied was because of the dizziness that I had which was called an undiagnosed condition. Anyways, I haven't thought about reapplying till now..a whole year later. Do I have a possibility of not getting denied considering it's been a year?
If US has equality, why is there a gender gap in health insurance? Gender gap discovered in health insurance: Women pay more for individual plans:http://www.signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/20081030/news_1n30insure.html According to the article: "Insurers say they have a sound reason for charging different premiums: Women ages 19 to 55 tend to cost more than men because they typically use more health care, especially in the childbearing years. But women still pay more than men for insurance that does not cover maternity care. In the individual market, maternity coverage may be offered as an optional benefit, or rider, for a hefty additional premium." Whats the difference in what women vs men have to pay for health coverage? According the article above: "The disparities are evident in premiums charged by major insurers like Humana, UnitedHealth, Aetna and Anthem, a unit of WellPoint; in prices quoted by eHealth, a leading online source of health insurance; and in rate tables published by state high-risk pools, which offer coverage to people who cannot obtain private insurance. Humana, for example, says its Portrait plan offers “ideal coverage for people who want benefits like those provided by big employers.” For a Portrait plan with a $2,500 deductible, a 30-year-old woman pays 31 percent more than a man of the same age in Denver or Chicago and 32 percent more in Tallahassee, Fla." Recent Economic affects on women: COBRA's High Cost Bites Into Jobless Safety Net, especially for women, who have to pay more for individual health insurance: http://www.womensenews.org/article.cfm?aid=4041 Research Study results: Nowhere to Turn: How the Individual Health Insurance Market Fails Women: http://action.nwlc.org/site/PageNavigator/nowheretoturn_Report So why the gender gap in health insurance, if equality is here in the US? I keep hearing how feminism isn't needed in the US or the West, we're all supposedly equal now. What gives? I don't have kids, never had them, and won't have them, so why do I have to pay higher health insurance rates-why don't I get the rates men do? So does this mean, based on your answers, that we can stop hearing about gender gaps in auto insurance rates that men pay, since this gender gap in health insurance rates doesn't matter? Ok, glad I won't have to hear about that ever again. FYI: Don't want any of these, and in the US, these are elective surgeries, meaning, they are not covered by a health insurance plan and the individual has to pay for all of this stuff themselves: breast augmentation and vaginal cosmetic surgeries (ewww). Never had a hysterectomy or a tubal hon-I"d look for any way to avoid both of those surgeries as well. I've had my tonsils out though, when I was 5. That is probably why I'm paying such high health insurance costs.
What are the Customer Service #'s for these Health Insurance Companies? I'm looking for the Support #'s for the following: Humana Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Aetna United Healthcare and Coventry 1 Please don't send links to the websites unless the phone number is on THAT page. Whoever comes up with this is AWESOME in my book and is saving a tired busy girl lots of hunting time. Thanks so much...
Why does my wife's work place health insurance for both of us cost double what it is for just her? My wife's employer is offering a 4 tier Humana insurance package. The totals below are before any employer contribution so yes, I know that will effect the cost outcome. The 4 tiers are: Employee: $380 per month Employee and Spouse: $951 per month Employee and Child(ren): $760 per month Employee and Family: $1255 per month These are the totals before any employer contribution to my wife's premium. I'm trying to figure out why the cost for both of us would be almost $200 more than double her single premium!
Where do I get a Health Insurance quote? I am looking for a place where I can compare health insurance quotes and find a good individual policy. I like the main carriers like Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Humana, and Aetna.
I need health insurance but don't know where to start? So I need health insurance really badly, but I don't even know where to begin. Neither of my parents care. And, like I said before, I don't know where to begin. Every time I try and call a health insurance compny, I never seem to get through to a "real person". They are always and operator. And most of the sites I go to seem to be scams. What makes matters worse is this: I only have $650 to my name, and I don't even know of any reputable insurance companies. Well, there is Blue Cross Blue Shield, and I am going to try calling them tomorrow (hopefully I'll get through). But, other than them, I know of no other reputable insurance compnies. Humana, apparently, doesn't insure my state, so they're out. I just don't know what to do. I feel really sick, but I have never been diagnosed with a condition previously. That's okay in the insurance world, right? I wouldn't be refused for a previous condition when I have never been diagnosed? I feel so overwhelmed right now, and I feel much to young to be going through something like this. I have no help at home! Someone, anyone, please give me any advice you can. It will be appreciated.
health insurance providers in the state of ohio? i am trying to get health insurance quotes from as many companies as i can in the state of ohio. so far i have came up with: anthem aetna united healthcare humana anyone that i am missing? thanks
Why would an army of lobbyists for drug & health insurance companies be at a fundraiser for Coakley in DC? Kind of strange that she left her homestate to gather in DC isn't it. With Democrat Martha Coakley in trouble in the Massachusetts special election to fill Ted Kennedy's seat, Democrats could lose vote No. 60 for President Obama's health-care bill. In response, an army of lobbyists for drug companies, health insurance companies, and hospitals has teamed up to throw a high-dollar Capitol Hill fundraiser for Coakley next Tuesday night. The invitation is here. Of the 22 names on the host committee--meaning they raised $10,000 or more for Coakley--17 are federally registered lobbyists, 15 of whom have health-care clients. Of the other five hosts, one is married to a lobbyist, one was a lobbyist in Pennsylvania, another is a lawyer at a lobbying firm, and another is a corporate CEO. Oh, and of course, there's also the political action commitee for Boston Scientific Corporation. All the leading drug companies have lobbyists on Coakley's host committee: Pfizer, Merck, Amgen, Sanofi-Aventis, Eli Lilly, Novartis, Astra-Zeneca, and more. On the insurance side of things, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, HealthSouth, and United Health all are represented on the host committee. http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/blogs/beltway-confidential/Coakley-in-trouble-Pharma-and-HMO-lobbyists-to-the-rescue-81067542.html

Why do state and federal regulations prohibit health insurance companies from doing business in all 50 states? We are going through a health care review in our company. Our insurance renews 10/1/09. From a company perspective we only have a choice of three health care providers. Anthem, Humana, and I can't remember the name of the third. So we have 3 plans that we can consider. Why do states have regulations that are so difficult that not every health insurance company can afford to do business in the state of Ohio? According to hoovers.com (http://www.hoovers.com) there are 5,101 health insurance companies in the USA and we can only get quotes from 3 of them. Why? Obama talks about competition, but current regulations prohibit true competition. Even if you go to buy insurance at a company like Assurant Health, not everyone in every state can buy insurance from this company because they are not certified in every state. Regulations in NY, HI, ME, MA, NJ, RI, VT prohibit them from selling health insurance in these states. These are all liberal states by the way. Could their regulations be part of the problem health care is so expensive in these states? Here is the coverage list. http://www.assuranthealth.com/corp/ah/#/corp/ah/overlay/coveragemap.html Why doesn't Obama want to tear down these regulation walls?
Health Insurance App - what if I lie? I need to apply for individual health insurance. I already got denied by Humana because I have ADHD and take medication for it. What if I simply omit that information on my next application? I have insurance right now and I am afraid that the company I am applying for will check all my records and see all the meds I am on and any pre-exsisting conditions. Should I omit any of that info. If I don't I may be unable to get health insurance!! Help me please. I am not a liar, but I need health insurance. I can't afford to live without it.
Health Insurance/SSDI question? I am on short-term disability and may have to go on long-term. Though I do not know if that will be easy. After long-term runs out, I will be forced to get myself health insurance. A few people have recommended Humana so I will call them. Essentially, what I am trying to find out is: what do people do when they leave a position and need insurance? This will be the first time for me to be in such a scenario. I am currently going in to be considered for SSDI. If that is approved, will my situation be different? Will my current employer continue to provide me with insurance? Clearly I do not know much about all this. Please do not try to sell me insurance of ANY kind. Thank you very much.
Why is it impossible for a Bipolar I diagnosed person to get health insurance? I am a 26 year old, fully functioning, working, female adult who just happens to have a Bipolar I diagnosis that I got at the age of 21 while still in college. It so happens that I was on my parents healthcare until the age of 23, and then was uninsured. I have had several high paying jobs with group benefits since then, but I recently quit the last one to return home to help an ailing family member with a family business. Because it is a company of under 6 people, there is no group insurance plan. I have money and am proud that I earn my own wages. I have NO problems paying ridiculous amounts for health insurance, provided that they will cover prescriptions and everything but co-pays. My current insurance plan is crap and will not cover any psychiatric treatment, will only cover regular medical expenses (broken arm, stitches, etc) after I've paid $500 out of my own pocket, and no prescriptions. I have applied (and been denied) for health insurance already from: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, United, and a couple of other major health insurance agencies. They all reject me immediately because of the Bipolar I diagnosis. I have appealed this rejection a few times because I have never been hospitalized as an inpatient, I have never hurt myself, etc. It seems very unfair to me that they randomly reject me without viewing my case file. My psychiatrist is even willing to write a letter on my behalf and I have had insurance agents personally appeal to underwriting, to no avail. I have had NO problems with my disorder since I've been medicated, which was December of 2003. Any suggestions here? I really need health insurance... at some point I'd like to have children, and nevermind the fact that I just want to be covered in case of emergency. Thanks! Some additional details: I *did* qualify for COBRA and paid it, the last payment they did not receive in the mail so they cancelled me. I appealed it several times and lost it. My state does have a high risk pool but I was told I did not qualify. Any more information on this is appreciated. I make too much money to qualify for Medicare or prescription assistance. Thanks!
how to deal with insurance company? My health insurance (HUMANA),trying to get away from paying my medical bill. What happen was I had my employment base insurance (HUMANA PPO COFINITY) terminated on june 30,then I continue with HUMANA INDIVIDUAL only for one month (july 1 - july 30).Now they file my old claim to my insurance so then they will not responsible for it.All those claims are legit.I tried to talk to them, even I ask the service provider to fax the claim directly to them, but they still refuse to pay.If there is anybody who know how to deal with this insurance company,I would relly appreciate your advice.
Health Insurance with Hypertension? I was diagnosed with high blood pressure a couple of years ago and now take medication for it to keep it controlled. I have been denied coverage because of my hypertension by both Humana and Blue Cross. My most recent reading was 145/76. This is the only thing on my record that is continuously getting me denied for coverage. Is there a health insurance carrier out there that would be likely to cover me just because of this one issue? I live in Tennessee and am a 25 yr old male. I am 6 foot and 250 lbs. I am currently exercising daily to get off the hypertension medication.
Pregnancy & health insurance? For all you pregnant women or women who have had kids. Did your insurance pay for multiple ultrasounds or did they limit how many they would pay for? I called my insurance company today (Humana) and asked and they said they cover all ultrasounds (except 3D). I just find that hard to believe because I have read that most insurance companies will only pay for one ultrasound (the 20 week u/s). I am wondering if the girl I spoke to earlier today at Humana even knew what she was talking about. She sounded a little confused. What did your insurance pay for?
When can I reapply for denied health insurance coverage? Earlier this year I applied to Humana One for medical insurance. I was denied because I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in Dec. 2004. I have not been to a doctor since then for the condition, nor have I taken any medication since I was first diagnosed as the medication made me sicker, not better. I went alternative with aloe juice, digestive enzymes, ginger and probiotics. Changed my diet as well. I'm 43 and scared to death of not having insurance. I can't find a full-time job anywhere where insurance is even offered in this economy. I'm a writer and pastry chef. The state high risk insurance pool is anywhere from $680-1,200 per month. Does anyone know when I can apply and get accepted or is there any other alternatives? I don't qualify for medicaid.
How do I get secondary health insurance? I'm a full time graduate student currently receiving health insurance through my parents. However, my coverage sucks and I would like to purchase secondary insurance. I looked through all the different plans on einsurance.com (united, humana atena, etc), but when I called they told me that I can't purchase it when I already have insurance. I did some searches for secondary health insurance, but I can't find companies specifically for secondary insurance. It seems that I should be able to purchase any type of insurance I want and that the secondary company should pick up some of what my primary doesn't. Right? Yes, I know. I want to purchase an individual policy to use as supplemental. I was told that I can't buy supplemental when I called einsurance. I don't understand why they cannot let me buy an individual policy to use supplemental to my primary insurance. Know what I mean?
What Are Some Legit Health Insurance Agency? I've just been told that Mega Health and Life Insurance was a rip off company. (After I've pretty much wasted my time giving them information). Humana is so darn expensive for me. I'm a single mother of two. Working from home, due to my mystery illness. As of now I have no health insurance, but get by/ struggle with Care Link. ( Basically that allows me to make low payments on my medical bills, instead of paying the full amount up front) But I feel because of this method, most doctors aren't being up front with me. I also think this limits me from being honestly tested and checked out for my current on going problems. (I think they see me as a poor person that would never pay the bill off, so why test me?) I just want to get to better....there has to be some Legit and affordable health care out there! HELP!
Is Aetna Health Insurance any good? I am healthy, but if something happens I want to be sure I am covered. Have you had any good or bad experience with this company. I currently have Humana, and they don't want to pay for a minor office visit, so I am changing. Anything you could offer would be great. Thanks.
How can we get out of my husband's incredibly expensive workplace health insurance? To make a long story not-so-short- we have Humana through my husband's place of work. Our rates have gone up HIDEOUSLY. They are taking $556 EVERY TWO WEEKS out of his paycheck. Yes, that's right- we are paying a little over $12,000 alone just in insurance this year. We had to accept to continue this plan because our 2 year old little girl has Epilepsy and she would not be covered under any other outside plans- at least not for a year- and it just so happens that this year alone is the worst year so far for her epilepsy as far has the price of her medications, neuro visits and increase in seizure activity. My husband is the only one working because I have to stay home with our daughter. This insurance takes MORE THAN HALF of his paycheck every two weeks. We are now at federal poverty level soley because of the insurance. When we contacted his employer HR person a week after enrollment to drop coverage- she told us we could not drop it because "Section 125 of our insurance contract states that we cannot because the insurance is pretaxed." The only way we could drop, as she said, was he would have to quit his job for another or..he would flat out have to die or have some other major event that would affect his status. If he left to go to another company- once again we have the issue with our daughter being a pre-existing condition. I have called at least 20 insurance companies and every single one has told me she could not be covered because she is high risk- plus the overall cost of her medication. We called the state health insurance board and we were told this type of plan is called a "Cafeteria" plan and sadly, it "screws" hundreds of thousands of people like us yearly. The person we talked to told us we would have to get a lawyer and pursue legal action if we wanted out of the contract. We are absolutely broke- we could never afford a lawsuit. There is no money for bills...nothing. Food is more important than bills- especially with a child- so we buy food instead while bill collectors call us non-stop. Can anyone please help us??? We can't even get our daughter on state insurance such as Medicaid because of the current insurance she has through her father's employer. Can we file a hardship- would that work on employers insurance? Can anyone help us at all? We are wanting out so that our daughter can get state health insurance or coverage through BCBS CoverKids Tennessee. As of now, we are told noone can be dropped off the plan at all.
Scared of picking wrong health insurance!!!!!!? In lieu of "Sicko", and reading so many horror stories on health care denials, unpaid claims, etc, etc; it really has me scared to pick an individual plan. I keep hearing that most of these "horror" stories, usually involve HMO's. I am going with a PPO, but nonetheless; I'm left pretty nervous. I am a healthy 30 year old, but I really need to vest in some individual insurance. I was thinking about going with BlueCross of Illinois, but I keep hearing (well reading) awful things about BlueCross BlueShield. Does anyone have ANY advice? Should I go with Humana, Aetna, United? I don't know WHAT to do?!

So I've been declined twice for health insurance? I tried applying once online by myself for Humana One and got declined. The reason was because about a year ago I went to the doctor because I was feeling dizzy, they took blood samples and all came back negative then it went away in like two days so I never went for a follow up. Well the reason for decline was of undiagnosed condition and lack of follow up. This is ridiculous because I have never been to the doctor except this one time and I have no health conditions. I'm 25 year old healthy female. Anyways, I went to an agent to recommended I apply for United health and of course I got denied again. I asked my agent what my other options were and he said we were going to try Unicare. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get denied for that as well so i really don't know what my insurance agent is thinking. Does anyone have any experience similar to this? Any suggestions? thank you thank you thank you. I've already tried to appeal but they didn't accept it now I'm going to go try to take to my doctor about the medical records.
there are so many options for HEALTH INSURANCE PROVIDERS, can you recommend a good one? I found plans from $50 to $180 for myself (28 yr old male) both ppo and hmo but dont know which to choose... I curently pay 167/mo but there are no deductibles and such except small visit fees, and i also understand that Kaiser has good doctors (though i've only seen mine once, thank god) but i find that everyone pays a little less, and after looking at a bunch of pay plans I realized that I could pay about $100/mo and have a small deductible... now all i need is to choose good provider, like between UnitedHealthcare, Humana, Aetna, HealthNet, LifeWise, Celtic, Cigna, etc... Have you had any better encounters with one over the other? Thanks!!
Will most health insurances require that an aortic aneurysm > 4.5 cm before paying for surgery? I am 37 year-old male who has been recently been diagnosed with an aortic aneurysm in the area of 4cm. I will not know the exact size until 08/20. I am not going to be available for surgery for two years if I do not immediately go under the knife. Will most insurance companies pay for the surgery if the diameter is less than 4.5 cm? I currently have Humana and wonder about their coverage?
I work in a nursing facility and need to know where I can get phone #'s for medicare co-insurance companies? I work in a nursing facility in the admissions office and need to verify insurance prior to admitting a resident. I need phone #'s for insurance companies which are a supplement to medicare such as AARP, Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, United Health Care, Bankers Life, Humana Gold, and other insurance companies. Is there a list of these phone #'s? (toll free preferably but if not, other phone #'s will do) I need them to verify insurance coverage for residents.
Insurance Company? Does anyone know personally about the celtic health insurance. is it a good insurance company? I am needing insurance and I recently found the celtic health insurance company, and Humana. what do yall know about these? The plans that I am interested in are not HMO they are PPO.
Which insurance plans & companies will help pay for lap-band surgery? I currently have United Health Care Choice Plus, but they do not cover any sort of bariatrics surgery. I am trying to find out which insurance would cover the surgery because I am changing insurance companies in a few months and I have a few different options (I don't know what they are yet). This was on the lap-band site but it's pretty vague: Below is a partial list of insurance companies that are known to either partially or completely cover LAP-BAND® System surgery. Please note that this list should not be construed as a guarantee that you will be covered - it is provided for informational purposes only: Aetna American Family Insurance Blue Cross (in many states) Cigna First Health Health Net Humana One Health United Healthcare Any advice is appreciated!
explorehumana.com? there is a commerical for humana health insurance to receive a book on there insurance plans .
Individual health PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!? I am loosing my current health insurance next week. I have looked into Cobra benefits, but I know that will be very expensive. I have also done an application with Humana One but got turned per pre-existing health conditions (ADHD). Then I almost was suckered into getting a policy from the MEGA health and life insurance comany, who I have come to find are a bunch of scam artists... I need insurance. Does anyone know of an insurance company who generally takes pre-existing conditions yet doesn't charge a million bucks? I have also heard of the HIPPA law and policies through that, but I don't fully understand all that. Someone please explain, I will be so thankful for some honest helpful answers. Thank you!!
Does the HIPAA Act protect Prescription Records? I had been without health insurance for a few months. I applied for some Humana coverage, as an independent. Over the course of the underwriter interview, the underwriter asked me if I had anything to disclose. I said no, and then she began to recite a list of all prescriptions that I'd gotten for the past 4 years! I was pretty shocked, because I thought that information was considered private. How did Humana (or anyone for that matter) get such quick complete access to my prescription records?
Does my babies father have to reimburse medicaid????? If Texas Child Support Services are going to terminate my daughters medicaid, and her father has to pay for humana health insurance, does he still have to reimburse medicaid? I was told that if my child is on medicaid, I have to give the fathers imformation to Texas child support. I am not going to pursue child support. One of the case workers from Texas child support said," If I do not pursue it, then I will lose my medicaid benafits and my babys father is going to have to reimburse medicaid." Is that true?
