Travel medical insurance for visiting Germany? I am a US Green Card Holder with Chinese citizenship! I don't have a health insurance plan. Now I am planning to visit Germany for about 10 days, one of the documents required is travel insurance. "confirmation letter from your health insurance stating coverage for medical emergency, hospitalization and repatriation with a minimum of 30,000 Euros (equiv. US$ 50,000) for trips outside the US and one copy thereof" Anyone have good suggestions on some health insurance companies, it would be good if it's paid day by day!
what is the best travel medical insurance for volunteers overseas? I am going to Africa next year to volunteer for at least 6-8 months at a school for the handicapped. I would like to look for affordable travel medical insurance for volunteers, because obviously I won't be making much money, and I have limited funds. If I get sick while volunteering in Africa and I need medical assistance, I want to be at the best hospital available and I want my insurance to cover the costs. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
What is the best company to get travel medical insurance through? I am going to France through a study abroad program through my college. In order to apply for a visa, I need a letter from my medical insurance company stating that I will be covered in France, but I think it would be faster to get coverage through an international travel insurer. I'm racing against the clock. I'm searching on the web, but I have no idea what I'm doing really. . What companies are most reputable?
Where can I get travel insurance without medical cover? I'm going to work abroad on a 6 month contract and want to cover my possessions, passport etc whilst in transit (will be making a few flights in this 6 months). However, as part of my contract I am getting private medical insurance, so I don't want to be paying for medical cover on the travel insurance. Does anyone know of a company who might do this? Or do I need to look at a different kind of policy, ie not travel insurance? Thanks very much Thanks guys, should have said I'm in the UK. Have rung a couple of agencies already and they say they can't do it without the medical cover and didn't know anyone who would.
Reccomendations for medical travel insurance for non US resident traveling to the UK? I'm living in Pennsylvania for a year, but I'm originally from Argentina. I'm traveling to the UK in a couple of weeks, and I'd like to get medical travel insurance. What deals are there on travel medical insurance for Canadians going to the US? I'm a healthy adult, looking to travel in the US from Canada from two weeks up to a month, perhaps more. Would like a bare insurance plan to cover emergency costs in case of being in a car accident, etc., while in the US. Are there companies in the US that insure Canadians coming down at a reasonable rate? I'm talking about being hit by a car as a pedestrian --- I don't have to worry about car insurance because I don't have a car.

How much is medical travel insurance? ? I'm going on a two week study abroad tour with my university and they require that I have medical insurance to cover me abroad. They told me I can purchase insurance for the two weeks, where do I get it and how much is it?
What type of travel/medical insurance do I need? I am flying from the the U.S. in November to Australia. After checking with my insurance carrier (Blue Cross/Blue Shield) I find that I will be covered overseas, but have to pay all the medical fees upfront, THEN wait for reimbursement (same with my AFLAC policy). After looking through all the confusing plans on insuremytrip.com, I'm not sure whether to get medical insurance, travel insurance or both and just how much coverage. I'm in decent health, although I have hypertension and diabetes (Type 2) that are managed quite well through a physician's care and don't cause me any problems. BOTTOM LINE: Has anyone from the U.S. traveling overseas had to use one of these plans for medical/travel and did the carrier of the plan come through when needed in a time of crisis? What was the name of your carrier and how much did the plan charge? Was it found at the insuremytrip.com website or somewhere else? I need to know because my trip is coming down to the wire and my friends in Australia said I should never travel without insurance coverage. It would be greatly appreciated to get some useful, intuitive real world information.
Where can you get travel / medical insurance (to travel to Canada) from Egypt (specifically Nasr City, Cairo)? I have a friend who lives in Nasr City, Cairo, Egypt who'd like to visit me, however they require a Temporary Residence Visa to come into Canada. My friend was told by the people that accept the applications that they require medical insurance, which I assume is the same or similar to travel insurance that we get when travelling abroad (like Blue Cross). My friend's tried calling every single insurance place in the yellow pages and none of them deal with private individuals. Does anyone have any advice on how my friend can get some legitimate travel medical insurance that the Canadian embassey in Cairo will accept?
Is Iritis classed as an existing medical conditon for travel insurance? Hi, I have had 3 bouts of Iritis in the past and have been diagnosed with a gene that makes me more likely to have another occurance than someone that does not have the gene in their body, at the same time I could go for the rest of my life and never have another occurenece. I need to get travel insurance for a long trip away and was therefore wondering if Iritis is classed as an existing medical condition that should be declared? Thanks!
Medical/Travel Insurance Providers Expatriates? Hi, I will be living and hopefully working in Spain for anything from 6 months to over a year. I am getting the new E111 card thing and am wondering if I should get some kind of medical insurance on top of it. I don't want travel insurance that will cover baggage etc. And actually I'm not really bothered about insurance and have travelled many times outside of Europe without it... but what happens if my luck is over... (which it seems to be lately) Well basically, I have been searching for travel insurance initially but I want something alot cheaper than the £65 I found... plus it might be difficult to change the dates since I don't know when I'll be coming back to England. Is medical insurance generally cheaper than travel insurance? I have applied for a quote from 2 companies but I have to wait until after the weekend for them to call me... which they probably wont. Is it worth getting extra medical coverage other than the e111 card thing which is free anyway! yay! I'll only be living over there, and I don't have insurance in my own country and I've been to more countries that are considered "dangerous" than in europe and I actually feel like I'm more likely to be injured etc in England than anywhere else. The only time I'll come across the british over there is if I spend a few days travelling south to dose up on kebab meat. but I don't think it'll be possible to buy insurance to travelling to "british areas in spain" ... I think I've answered my own question actually, I wont get insurance! Does any company offer insurance for day visits to Homerton in london?

What is the difference between health insurance and travel insurance? I have a health insurance plan that covers me overseas in ANY country at ANY hotel. Travel Medical Insurance / Medical Insurance in Mexico? I am a male, 23 years old, and I live in the United States. I will be moving to Guadalajara, Mexico in August, and will be living there for 6 months to a year. I will be an English teacher, and I also plan to box (either as an amateur, or professionally). I know that medical costs are MUCH lower in Mexico, but to not have insurance would still be a risk, since I will be boxing. Would I be better off buying insurance from a company that sells international insurance, or should I wait until I get to Mexico and buy it from a Mexican company? I feel like it would be cheaper to do the second option, but I don't know anything about Mexican medical insurance. Thank you!

Best family travel and medical insurance for a year long trip? My family and I are going on a year long trip across the US, NZ, Australia, Singapore and Europe before coming back home to the UK. Does anyone know the best insurance option? Separate policies for each country or one policy to cover 12 months? Most family policies are 'multitrip' and these are not suitable as we are travelling continuously (and independently). My kids are 6,7 and 3, so obviously we need great medical insurance. Please help!

World travel insurance for Canadians without provincial health insurance I am looking for an international backpacker medical travel insurance provider that doesn't let the fact that my MSP (or similar provincial health insurance) is no longer valid. Can you get travel insurance that covers just one of your pre-existing medical conditions? I live in the UK and have two pre-existing medical conditions but I only want cover for one of them. Is this possible? I have been told that I either have to cover all pre-existing conditions or none at all and I'm not sure if this is true. I am guessing that not disclosing everything isn't a good idea as the insurance company might use that as an excuse to not pay out should I need to make a claim? Thanks!
Travel Insurance with medical condition? Hi, I'm taking my father on holiday next month and I am looking to buy travel insurance. He had a heart attack about 10 years ago and takes a combination of tablets everyday I looked at the travelex website that people have recommended as it waivers existing conditions, however it states "Purchase plan within 21 days of initial trip deposit" I'm interpreting the initail trip deposit is when I paid the airline? That was months ago and doesn't fall within the 21 day period. Can anyone suggest another company that is competitive as the travelex quote was £30 ($50) for 11 days. We only need the medical element as trip cancellations and delays etc.. are not required Thank you Hope you can help

Need to find travel insurance -- help!? My fiance and I are going on our honeymoon to Jamaica in October and we need to get travel insurance. We'll be there from 10/6-10/13. We are flying with United/US Airways, which is part of the reason we want insurance (in the event of a cancelled flight). Mostly we are just looking for something that will protect our trip/costs in the event that something is cancelled or delayed or something (not necessarily travel medical insurance). I've been looking at the various travel insurance sites and comparing plans/prices, but I have no idea what I'm looking for. I know if a price is too much or not, but as far as coverage I want/need/etc. I'm clueless. Help!!!
I need SPECIFIC travel insurance advice.? I'm going to mexico for 6 months and would like to purchase travel medical insurance - nothing fancy, just a "bare-minimum" plan that would cover any kind of medical emergency... Can anyone (from personal experience) recommend a good company to go with? I've heard that some companies are a nightmare to deal with while others are not so bad. The two cheapest policies I've found so far are from "Seven Corners" and "IMG" but I'm not sure about these companies... Thanks! i'm a us citizen living in europe (and not the uk so i can't get one of their policies either)
