They told him he has pterysium and has to go to a specialist to get it removed. He went referred and asked if they can check if he will be covered they said yes but only under the medical insurance Blue cross...They said that the insurance said he has a pre-existing condition and he should call to find out what it is... Its controversial the lady at the insurance company says you get pre-existing condition until the doctor proves it wrong. Then says but he doesn't have a pre-existing condition. Any ideas as to why the medical insurance covered so little of an expense? My son had to visit the emergency while in his non-custodial father's care for a head injury. Nothing too serious, but he did need some glue to close up a wound. My son is on my medical insurance (Blue Cross/Blue Shield) and they are usually very good about covering most of the medical costs. However, I received a bill today for the hospital and the total charges were $816 and my responsibility is $477, over half of the bill. To top it all off, there is still another bill for $407.50 that has yet to be finalized, who knows how much of that one will be billed to me. Blue Cross Blue Shield of S.C., pre -existing condition exclusion??!!!? On January 1 2012 my employer will change medical insurance from Blue Cross Blue Shield of N.C. to Blue Cross of S.C. Today I receive a letter stating I am to be excluded from any diabetes treatment (doctors appointments, medical supplies, eye specialist appointments tests etc) until January 1 2013. I have been with my employer's insurance for over seven years and changed insurances (Medcost to Blue Cross N.C.) before and there was no problem. So anyone know why, since we are still with the same company only simply changing from N.C. to S.C. I am now to serve an exclusion period.again, as I did when I first joined the company?. I tried to call Blue Cross, of course there was no one available but to call back on Monday. Advice on responsibility for medical insurance payment.? Basically, my wife got bit by a stranger's dog. I took her to the emergency room, and additionally had a police report filed. My understanding is that the hospital or our insurance company is supposed to go after the stranger for payment. Instead... the hospital charged everything to my medical insurance (Anthem Blue Cross) and Blue Cross paid for it. The end result is I get a bill to pay $300 for the remainder, which I don't think I should be paying. At this point I'm wondering what I should do to avoid paying for something that the stranger should be responsible for: 1) Call stranger and ask for $300... doubt this will work. Confused about medical insurance for son? My young son lives in Indiana with his mother, my ex girlfriend. I live in Michigan. I am court-ordered to have medical insurance on him - which I did until my wife was transferred to another location and I moved with her. My wife has added my son to her medical, dental and vision benefits because my new job doesn't offer insurance for 120 days after start. We didn't want there to be a lapse in my son's coverage. My wife's insurance is also better than mine (it covers 100 percent, $10 copay). Suing a family member for money owed? Kinda a long story so I apologize- My young mother-in-law moved in w/ us over a year ago after separating fr her husband (he is not my husband's biological dad). She is still under his Blue Cross medical insurance. We have been paying for her medications in which it is reimbursed by blue cross, but the refund money is sent to the primary insurer which is her husband (he lives 3 states away) Anyway, a $ 900.00 dollar check was sent to him and he was told previously that any money sent to him from blue cross was ours, and he needed to forward it to us (this was 7 months ago) he did write us a check, sent it, but it bounced. He said he inadvertantly paid too much for a bill and was taken out from his account. He then said he would make payments, well, he sent a hundered here and there, he still owes us $300 and is now avoiding our calls- we are now planning on taking this to small claims court, talking to his mom about this is useless because she still wants him to take her back- We live in Ca, he lives in Oregon. What do you all think about this??? We are so frustrated and angry and also hurt that he would do this to us... Health Insurance Claim Denial from Blue cross blue shield for premature child born in hospital? My daughter born in hospital was premature required to stay in the hospital for 20 days. Her claim of hospital stay denied saying that I did not call BCBS's medical management number in 48 hours. I did call number provided at back of the card same day my daughter born and they did not inform me about this medical management procedure. I am sure hospital must have also informed BCBS. My wife's claim during hospital stay are approved but my daughter's claim denied. Bill of my daughter's claim is more than 80,000$ out of that 74000 they paid and denied remaining. everytime I called them their representative told me that it's approved and shouldn't be a problem. but I recently got a letter that it's not approved. I did send grievance letter in writing but they did not approve. I am paying 700 $/month for so long time to BCBS. Do I have any chance to get this approved? if so, what procedure should I follow? please help. one point is that my wife was admitted for emergency and all her claims are processed without any issues. my daughter born in hospital and I wasn't sure how long she is going to be there in hospital at the time.

Cheap/free Therapy? Basically I want to get some therapy sessions in order to help my relationship with my girlfriend. Ive got some personal built up issues that are really starting to affect us.
