How do dental and health plans work? I just got a permanent job in Canada working for the government, so for the first time in my life I have a health and dental plan. I got a card for the health plan and 2 big stickers for the dental. If I have to pay for prescriptions or something like that at the doctor's office, would I simply pay using my new card from now on, so I don't have to pay out of my pocket? How do the stickers for the dental plan work? Am I covered for eye check ups and glasses too?

What health and dental insurance companies does Waste Management use? Just got hired on as a residential driver with Waste Management and start soon. What I need to know is: what insurance companies does Waste Management use for their health and dental plans? Are they very good plans, or not? People who need affordable health or dental benefits? I work as a health benefits specialist and we offer extremely affordable rates on health and dental plans. Anyone have any good ideas on where I can leave flyers or business cards of this type to let people know I have this available? What is the BEST (not necessarily cheapest) Health, Dental, Vision & Prescription Plan? What is the absolute best Dental, Health ,Vision and Prescription Plan out there. They can be together or seperate plans and not necessarily together. It doesn't matter how much it would cost. (Plans the rich and wealthy may consider the best options)
Can I get a health savings account to pay my out of pocket expenses for dental treatment? Everything I have read says that I need to have a High deductible health plan to be eligible. but I have a good health insurance plan that is not high deductible. Also I have a good dental plan, however my dental treatment (qualified under HSA) will cost me several thousand dollars over my coverage limit. Is there a way to get and use an HSA account to cover these expenses? and if I am self employed or running a small business can I set up an FSA for myself?
Am I covered for dental insurance as well as health with the Health Care Bill? My mom re-added me to her insurance since I was taken off, but I'm wondering if dental is included with the Health Care Bill that way she can add me back to her dental plan as well. I've searched online and on the Govt website but all it mentions is health care and her health care plan is separate from her dental plan. We're in California, if that matters. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Pre-existing condition / Diabetes for Group Health/Dental Insurance? The last time I saw my doctor for my Type 2 diabetes in the U.S. was in August, 2003. I went overseas soon after that and didn’t come back until recently (I didn’t have coverage during this whole time). I just got a job which offers group health insurance, does my diabetes counts as pre-existing condition. (I’m choosing a BCBS PPO plan), and can they impose exclusion period? I live in Pennsylvania, and according to my research, Group health plans in PA can count as pre-existing conditions only those for which you actually received (or were recommended to receive) a diagnosis, treatment or medical advice within the 6 months immediately before you joined that plan. So it appears to be that I should have no problem if I go to see my doctor for my diabetes right after my policy become effective on Jan. 1st, 2008, right? I want to make sure. Similarly, I had dental surgery for gum problems in 2002, will my group dental plan look back 6 month only? Thanks for your answer

Anyone know of an affordable individual health/dental insurance plan for Brooklyn, NY? I no longer have school insurance and my work does not offer insurance. I am looking for an affordable health/dental insurance plan in Brooklyn, New York. Is dental included in medical insurance or is that separate? I don't want to spend $600-$1000 on a premium for an HMO, but would rather spend a few hundred a month while getting a decent amount of benefits. Also, does anyone know of a comparison chart online regarding details of insurance providers including premiums and benefits. All I can find are complaint comparison charts for insurance providers. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
So does anybody who lives in Texas have an awesome health insurance plan with dental for a good price? It's for a family of 5. I have right now bluecross/bluesheild and I love them but if my husband gets this new job the health benefits there stink and we need coverage. We will not be having anymore children (fact!) but we do need the dental. I pay close $500/$600 a month and want something cheaper but not worse in policy. I've already looked and found a few I liked just wondering if anybody has any better policy;s or ideas =^)

Dental Health Plan Question? I went to the dentist today and found out I need over $1200.00 done in work. My school insurance will only pay $400.00. I'm wondering-is it possible to buy health insurance for just a couple months so I can get this done, or do I have to sign on for a certain length of time? There's no possible way I can afford it otherwise.
Do most employer health plans include prescription coverages? I just got a job and the company gave me the costs of the insurance benefits and it lists, health, and dental coverages, but doesn't list prescription as a cost. Why are there no good dental insurance plans? I can buy health coverage - but only "dental discount" plans that really don't help that much. I am not looking for plan names, etc... but the reason why it is hard to find good dental coverage. As a side note, What do you think of Brandon Jacobs?
What is the best affordable dental health plan in FL? I'm not going to lie. I am over due to see the dentist. I take extremely good care of my teeth at home, but haven't been to the dentist in about 8 years. I have lost one tooth on the side I chew. I now probably have about 5 cavities. I feel so ashamed for even letting it get to this point. I am broke. I am a single dad with lots of bills. My kid always goes, so don't go there. But medicaid is a pain to get anything done. I need to know where to go to purchase my own coverage. It will need to cover my root canals, fillings, etc. I even have 2 teeth capped from when I was a youth that have never had anything done in 10 years to them. I am just at a breaking point and don't like feeling yucky. Please help me find good coverage. Thank You!

Searching for a legit health/dental discount card? health care/dental plan in Michigan -MI? What is the best health care/dental plan in Michigan-MI? Is the Baucus health care plan to tax Cadillac plans (ie any plan with Dental or Vision Coverage) at a rate of? Is the Baucus health care plan to tax Cadillac plans (ie any plan with Dental or Vision Coverage) at a rate of 40%, a penalty on those that are responsible enough that they actually buy insurance on themselves and their families? Also Is this another way to push Companies to accept a Government run health care plan and not provide the so called Cadillac plans? Actually yes it is the definition of the Cadillac plan's. The definition that I have heard is a plan that includes Dental and Vision is considered a cadillac plan. I have also heard that plans that cost over 8000 per year. Just looked up a definition that puts it at 8,000 for individuals and 21,000 for families. The average family coverage is over 13,000. It would not take much to put a family over that and I would say that there are a lot of individuals that pay over 8,000 per year. Ok so we agree that the limit for a Cadillac plan on families is 21,000 dollars. I can tell you this that I am in no way a rich person but if you put an additional 40% tax on these so called Cadillac plans, I can either expect to not get nearly as good insurance in the next few years if this is passed. Am I right? Because the increase in cost is going to be an incentive for the employer to not offer the best insurance plans, is it not? To think that the tax on the Cadillac plans is not going to trickle down to us is naive. We will have to pay more or it will not be offered at all. I pay about 40% of my insurance bill my employer pays the rest. I pay a little over 800 per month, this puts me into the cadillac plan catagory. If this bill passes, I will either be faced with not being able to get nearly as good of coverage for my family or I will have to pay an additional 400 and probably closer to 600 dollars per month to get the same insurance coverage! Because again if you think that the insurance companies are not going to pass that increased cost down to the consumer is very naive So one last time, those of us that are being responsible in the first place will be penalized for caring for ourselves and our families!

I need the plan to start soon [some make u wait up to a yr, some start soon], i need something cheap and good. ive heard of allcare, but i tried signing up and they said i wasnt qualified. i think i put down that i made too little money. also, i need something that will allow me to make small monthly payments [not for the plan itself, but when i get my bill from the dentist after my work is done, because i cannot pay it all up front at once], or does any dentist allow monthly payment plans? any information, links, etc. would be greatly appreciated. thank you ahead of time. im sorry. allcare wasnt the 1 i heard of and applied for. it was called Carecredit. I was denied by them.

Most Comprehensive Health Insurance for a College Student? I'll be going to college in a few years, and I'm fully aware of the healthcare crisis. Although money is an issue, my health is more important. Assuming that money is not an issue, what health insurance company provides the most comprehensive and inclusive health insurance policies available? Is there an insurance company out there that will let me do the following? - Choose my own doctor/hospitol - Pay relatively low co-pays - Cover the cost of any prescriptions - Pay for health, medical, eye, and dental on one plan - Pay for the majority of any psychotherapist appointments - Continue coverage despite sudden circumstances (major illness, accident, etc.) - Cover the cost/majority of a specialist upon doctor reccommendation Does such a health insurance plan exist, besides the plan available from the state?
Where can a person go and find low cost dental services in North Texas? I have a sibling who has no dental/health insurance (she works part time and goes to college), and she believes she has a couple of abscessed wisdom teeth. Does anyone know of a local dental professional or local health services (Denton or Collin County) which would provide low-cost (and/or payment plan) for dental care? Thanks. Services have been located.
How to find a good dental plan? I'm in Arizona and I don't have health insurance including dental. I work part-time so I can't get any benefits from my job. To be honest, I'm so confused by it all. How does someone get dental insurance for themselves? Are there any important things I should be looking out for? Any websites with thorough information. If I need braces, am i looking at a more expensive dental plan?

My employer does not offer medical/dental: what is a good dental plan for me? I have a dental HMO through Dental Health Services and it blows, they barely pay for any of the services and when they do pay it is almost nothing, like 5-10 bucks. As if that wasn't bad enouth, they make you stick to one dentist that rarely answers the phone. All this for $20 a month... Can anyone recommend a good dental insurer? Thanks ur a freaking genius, I did not think of brushing and flossing daily. I will brush and floss my tooth aches and root canals away and eat candy apples for the rest of my life with my perfect teeth that need no dental work...
Secret shopper and cheap health insurance? I've two questions, 1. Do I have to worry about the 63 days time limit for pre existing coditions for Dental plans I recently left a job and my employeer warned me that I have 63 days to get an insurance policy otherwise pre-exisiting conditions clauses would kick in. So I diligently got my medical insurance. My question is how does Dental insurance work in this regard. Do most policies also have a 63 days no prexisting condition clause or do most have the usual "waiting period" regardless of the fact if you had insurance immediatly before, 63 days before or never before. I am trying to save some money and I had my teeth thoroughly checked right before I left my job, so I figure if it makes no difference why not wait at least 6 months until my next cleaning is due and THEN get dental insurance... But if it works the same way as Medical with the 63 days and pre exisitng condition issues and the health care crisis, maybe I should not risk it and get a policy ASAP. Any thoughts out there?
What would you do? ...in relation to health care...? Me and my husband have 3 children... 6, 2, and 1 week. We both work for the same company. Our company does not provide health/dental/vision insurance. We make too much to receive any government help. How would I go about finding a good private health plan? Better yet, when I find out how, how do I figure out which one is best? Do you use one or know someone who does? Who do they use? Do they like them? I am so lost on this one, any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks in advance! Don't know of anyone who has private insurance around here.
